Joining AdSense and/or Adwords gives you a Google rank?

I have seen some articles around the net suggesting that joining Google Adsense and Google Adwords will very definitely raise your Page Rank and your position in Google SERPs.This i will say is pure nonsense. If this were were the case there will be no hard work involved in writing fresh content,and the formula for getting a google ranking will be to open an Adsense and Adwords account and get ranked,even if yours is a trash,site not worth a second look. If you hope that Google will automatically raise your Page Rank and your position in their SERPs since you are joining Adsense and Adwords, then you could never be more wrong.
