Whenever a page displaying adsense ad is displayed,a "page impression" is said to be generated.Simply speaking a page impression is generated every time a user views a page displaying Google ads. "Page CTR" refers to the number of clicks recieved by an Ad divided by the number of times the ad, ad unit, or page is shown,further depending on the type of impressions you're viewing. Effective CPM( eCPM)refers to the effective cost per 1000 impressions. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands.It is a useful when you want to compare your earnings across different channels and advertising programs.However it is just a reporting feature according to Google and does not represent the actual amount paid to a publisher.Whenever visitors to your site click on the adsense ads,those are called clicks.However if you click on them yourselves or promote or invite someone else to do so,or whenver your adsense account shows clicks without any corresponding increase in your revenue,it means that the clicks you have recieved on your ads have been deemed invalid by Google and your account is not credited with the value of such clicks,and further if this trend of invalid clicks continue,you will be banned from adsense forever.Total earnings is the sum total of the revenue you have been credited in your adsense account from,AdSense for Content,AdSense for Search,Referrals,AdSense for Mobile.
