In order to protect the accounts of AdSense publishers,and in order to ensure that the information provided by the publishers are accurate and up-to-date,Google has the phone verification system in place. It is completely automated and uses automatic telephone number verification. You'll just have to key in a 6-digit verification code using your telephone.The 6-digit verification code is on the page that comes up when you click the "Please verify your phone number'under "Required Action" section of your "My Account" tab.When you click that link it will bring you to the Phone Verification Setup page, from where you'll be able to initiate the call or set a convenient time for Google's system to call you. The number of code entry attempts is however limited. It is to be borne in mind that rotary phones,VoIP numbers and extensions do not work with Google's PIN verification system. When you have earned $50,you have 6 months from that date to enter your verification code. If you fail to do so,within within 4 months, Google will start serving unpaid Public Service Ads. After 6 months, your account will be disabled and your unpaid earnings will be refunded to the concerned advertisers.
